ERCA Temporary Low Ropes Constructor & Instructor
Instructor Training Courses
Who is this course for?
This training course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to be able to safely set up, deliver sessions and dismantle a temporary low ropes course.
By designing a series of ropes and cables between trees, groups can be challenged to complete a variety of tasks where the emphasis is on safety, co-operation and teamwork as well as individual achievement. The Temporary Low Ropes Course can be used in a variety of ways, including as a series of activities which involve a degree of risk taking – both mental and physical. Although only a couple of feet above the ground, the low ropes courses can foster skills such as trust, planning and communication.
The main responsibilities of a Temporary Low Ropes Course Constructor are to install, operate and dismantle low ropes elements. The qualification Temporary Low Ropes Course Constructor does not entitle the holder to work on high ropes courses or adventure parks. This training also includes the Low Ropes Instructor award. The content of the training course is designed around providing candidates with the knowledge and skills to be able to do this competently through both theoretical and practical sessions covering a range of low ropes challenges, games and facilitation methods.
