ERCA Low Ropes Instructor

Instructor Training Courses

Who is this course for?

The ERCA Low Ropes Course Instructor course is designed for anybody who operates or works on low ropes courses; these are courses with activities that are close to the ground and only need spotting for safety. These facilities do not have a belay system in place. Activities include individual items such as a spider’s web, puzzles, trust falls, traversing challenges and larger courses with a continuous set of activities.

The main responsibilities of a low ropes instructor is to equip, instruct and supervise users of low ropes elements. The content of the training course is designed around providing candidates with the knowledge and skills to be able to do this competently through both theoretical and practical sessions covering a range of low ropes challenges, games and facilitation methods.
