Inaugural Inspection

For new builds

Why Consider an Inaugural Inspection?

If you have recently built a new ropes course, are planning to construct one, or are developing an adventure setup like a zip wire or giant swing, you’ll want to ensure it meets the highest safety standards. An inaugural inspection should be completed by a totally independent inspection body.

Technical Outdoor Solutions are suitably competent and qualified to carry out inaugural inspections and provide an experienced, competent and balanced service from a professional ropes course company you can trust.

Key Considerations

When to Inspect?

EN 15567 recommends that when a new ropes course is built, before it is used, an inaugural inspection takes place.

Inspection Authority?

Your inspection body should be fully certified, audited and insured.

We are ERCA, LEAPS and ADIPS approved.

Impartiality?

The inspection should be carried out by an  independent inspection body with no prior involvement in the design, engineering calculations, training, construction, or operational procedures.

Certification?

Your inspection should be carried out in accordance with EN15567-1, ISO EN 17020-2012, and fulfills the statutory requirements of Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER).
